“Fluffy Meringue Blanket” by Patons
This is the Fluffy Meringue Crochet Blanket by Patons. This project was a time consuming one, but one of my favorites. I made it for one of my friends who was expecting a baby girl. It is excellent for those looking for a crocheting challenge with a beautiful blanket as the reward.

It is actually a FREE pattern by Patons. You can find it here on Yarnspirations.com. It calls for Patons North American Beehive Baby Fingering Yarn in the color ‘Vintage Lace’. This yarn was not easy to find in stores. To read more about my search for the perfect yarn for this project, check out my post on this yarn here.
I absolutely love this blanket and never made one anything like it. I even love the pattern on the back. It does take a bit of time or seems that way.
Note
- Pay attention to the pattern- I was confused at first when it said ‘Dcbp2tog’ but had 2 sc in between the two dc that I would have to dcbp2tog. It is correct, skip both sc. This decreases the space so you have room for the shells.
